Sometimes we mess up. I’m sure that your parents love you unconditionally and are sometimes upset by the choices you make. Once you have broken trust with someone, you have to earn it back. Sometimes, I have found that if I ask the person I’ve disappointed what she would want to see as evidence of my better choices (that’s what it’s often about, I’ve found). That way yo aren’t just shooting in the dark, trying to “make it better” with no idea of what WILL make it better.
